Welcome to my website, keeleys-paintings. Being in tune with nature and her seasons, its understandable that is where I get my inspiration from. During walks I take photos and use these in my studio.

Luckily living in Holland our seasons are so profound, winter bringing the cold and time for reflections. Spring, the first buds and the optimism of the strength of the sun returning. Summer, time to relax and have fun, all green and full of flowers followed by autumn, the time to let go, colour palet of browns, gold, red and orange. Enough to keep me busy. Working this way helps me notice the smaller changes around me which I put into my paintings. I live in an area in Holland where there are many beautiful places to walk. Lots of woodland and small lakes and rivers .

I paint on canvas, the size can vary from 10cm x 10cm to 160cm x 100cm. By each image I will state the size. I work with both acrylic and oil paints, sometimes a combination of both and sometimes with collage, using paper that I have made myself.

Workshop Schilderen

4 keer per jaar ga ik een workshop aanbieden. De eerste staat in het teken van Mondriaan, hoe hij aan het idee kwam om de schilderijen te maken die wereldberoemd werden. Het proces gaan we samen ondervinden. Ik vertel je ook een beetje over kunstgeschiedenis, de straten van New York waar Mondriaan zich bevond in die tijd. Wist je trouwens dat hij ook molens en bomen schilderde, die vind ik zelf zelfs nog mooier dan Broadway Boogie Woogie.
